ÚLTIMA CONSIGNA DEL VENERABLE CUAUHTEMOCTZIN
Nuestro venerable Sol se ha ocultado,
nuestro digno Sol ya escondió su rostro,
y en completa oscuridad nos ha dejado.
Ciertamente sabemos que otra vez vendrá,
otra vez se dignará volver
y nuevamente vendrá a alumbrarnos.
En tanto que allá en el Mictlan reposará,
con premura reunámonos, congreguémonos
y dentro de nuestro corazón escondamos todo lo que nuestro corazón ama
y sabemos que es nuestro tesoro:
en nosotros es a manera de una gran piedra preciosa.
Destruyamos nuestros "templos",
nuestras casas de estudios superiores,
nuestros campos del juego de pelota,
las casas de jóvenes, las casas de canto;
que solos queden los caminos
y que nuestros hogares nos resguarden,
en tanto salga nuestro nuevo Sol,
los venerados padres, las veneradas madres,
que nunca lo olviden decirles a sus jóvenes,
que les enseñen a sus hijos, mientras ellos vivan,
cuán buena ha sido nuestra madre Anahuac
en donde nuestros honorables difuntos nos cuidan,
su deseo, su voluntad, y sólo también por ellos,
por nuestro respeto y nuestra humildad,
que ellos recibieron de nuestros primeros antecesores,
nuestros padres, de un lado a otro en el fondo de nuestro corazón,
los hicieron conocer en nuestro ser.
Ahora nosotros entregamos la tarea a nuestros hijos:
que no olviden, que informen a sus hijos cómo será su elevación,
cómo otra vez se levantará nuestro digno Sol;
y cómo mostrará dignamente su fuerza,
cómo tendrá a bien completar su digna promesa en ésta,
nuestra venerada y amada tierra de Anahuac.
LAST INSTRUCTION OF THE VENERABLE CUAUHTEMOCTZIN
Our venerable Sun has been hidden,
our worthy Sun already hid his face,
and in complete darkness He has left us.
Certainly we know that He shall come again,
that He shall deign to return
and He shall come to light us again.
Meanwhile there, in Mictlan, He shall rest,
promptly let’s stay together, let’s join together,
and hide it inside our heart
let's hide everything that our heart loves and we know that it is our treasure:
within us it is like a great precious and beautiful stone, a gemstone.
Let's destroy our "temples",
our houses of higher learning,
our fields of ball game,
the youth houses, the chant houses;
that the ways might remain alone
and that our houses can guard us,
while our new Sun shines again,
venerable fathers, venerable mothers,
never forget to speak about it to your young men and women,
who should teach their children, while they live,
how good has been our mother Anáhuac,
where our honored deceased ancestors take care of us,
their desire, their will, and also just for them,
by our respect and humility,
they received from our early ancestors, our parents,
from side to side at the bottom of our hearts,
made them known in our being.

LAATSTE INSTRUCTIE VAN DE EERBIEDWAARDIGE CUAUHTEMOCTZIN
Onze eerbiedwaardige zon is verborgen,
onze waardige zon reeds verborg zijn gezicht,
en in volledige duisternis heeft Hij ons verlaten.
Zeker weten we dat Hij weer zal komen,
dat Hij zal zich verwaardigen om terug te keren,
en Hij zal komen om ons weer te verlichten.
Ondertussen daar in Mictlan,
Hij rust,onmiddellijk zullen we samen zijn,
en samen genieten,en verbergen in ons hart,
Laten we verbergen alles wat ons hart liefheeft
en we weten dat het onze schatkamer:
binnen ons is het als een grote kostbare en mooie steen, een edelsteen.
Laten we vernietigen onze 'tempels'
onze huizen van hoger onderwijs,onze velden van balspel,
de jeugd huizen, de zang huizen;
dat de wegen zouden blijven staanen dat onze huizen
ons kunnen bewaken terwijl
onze nieuwe zon weer schijnt,eerbiedwaardige vaders,
eerbiedwaardig moeders,
nooit vergeten om er over te spreken naar uw jonge mannen en vrouwen,
die moeten hun kinderen leren, terwijl ze leven,
hoe goed is onze moeder Anáhuac,
waar onze overleden vereerde voorouders voor ons zorgden,
hun wens, hun wil, en ook alleen voor hen,
door ons respect en nederigheid,
zij ontvangen van onze vroege voorouders, onze ouders,
van links naar rechts op de bodem van ons hart,
maakte ze bekend in ons wezen.
Nu leveren wij de taak om onze kinderen:Vergeet niet om uw kinderen te informeren
hoe de hoogte wordt, hoe onze waardige zon weer zal stijgen;
en hoe Hij zal laten zien Zijn kracht met waardigheid,
hoe goed Hij zal Zijn volledige belofte waard zijn hierin,
in ons vereerd en geliefde land van Anahuac.
